Place 1 clove garlic, 1 pickling onion, and dill in each jar then pack the following in quart jars:
Celery cut in strips
Sliced or strips of Carrots
Cut Cauliflower
Sliced Red and Green Peppers
Add the quantity of each that you desire.
(I add extra Pickling onions because I like them too)
Mix together:
1 c salt
2 qt water
1 qt vinegar
Boil together for 5 minutes and then pour into jars with vegetables.
Cover with hot lids and tight rings. Let stand about 2 months before using to allow time for pickling to occur.
